Default Listings for Sandy Bridge laptops start appearing

Many adjectives may describe the upcoming launch of Intel's Sandy Bridge processors, but surprising won't be one of them. Intel has already confirmed the release date—January 5—and we're getting a close look at an increasing number of matching motherboards. Now, listings for Sandy Bridge-powered laptops have even crept online.

The folks at Laptoping spotted a couple of those listings, both for systems featuring the same Core i7-2630QM processor. One, a 15.6" Gateway machine, is listed at NextDayPC.com for $852.94. Another, a Lenovo laptop with the same display size, is priced at $1,138.35 at Provantage. Neither e-tailer quotes an availability date, but if the listings are up already, I don't expect it'll take too long for those notebooks to make it onto UPS and FedEx trucks.
