Default Lenovo Miix 630 2-in-1 tablet now available

Another Snapdragon 835-based Windows 10 tablet

The Lenovo MiiX 630 2-in-1 tablet has now finally become available, becoming the third Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-based Windows 10 tablet to debut.

Unveiled back in January this year, the Lenovo Miix 630 2-in-1 features a decent 12.3-inch 1920x1280 IPS multi-touch screen, which has 400nits of brightness and adds up to 187ppi of pixel density.

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB of LPDDR4-1866 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The rest of the specifications include rear 13-megapixel and front 5-megapixel cameras, stereo speakers, dual-array microphones, backlit keyboard, Lenovo Active Pen, 2x2 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, and LTE Cat 11 connectivity.

It has a 48Whr battery that should keep it alive for up to 20 hours, at least according to Lenovo. It ships with Windows 10 S but offers a free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, at least within the first 180 days of activation.

The tablet comes bundled with a backlit keyboard as well as Lenovo's Active Pen with 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The Lenovo Miix 630 looks pretty impressive, so it comes as no surprise it won IF Design Award 2018 and the CES 2018 Laptop awards. It measures 210x293x7.3mm (8.23x11.54x0.29-inches) and weighs 770g (1.7lbs) without the keyboard (1.39kg/3.1lbs with the keyboard).

The Lenovo Miix 630 is now available directly from Lenovo, starting at $809.99. This price is a bit steeper than the 10-inch Asus NovaGo 2-in-1, which starts at $599.99, but it is cheaper than the HP Envy X2, which sells for some $999.99. Unfortunately, this is still more expensive than the Surface Pro, which has a better display, SSD, and starts at $799.
