| Intel Yonah to arrive 1st of January next AS WELL AS getting spanking new numbers, Intel's forthcoming Yonah processors on the "Napa" platform will be segmented in two ways - professional and fundamental. The professional business platform includes the dual core chips, the notebook 945GM, PM, and GMS Express chipsets, and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG. The fundamental platform is for single core Yonah Pentium Ms, and that's basically the difference except that the former will support VT, and Intel iAMT. Intel is scheduling the Merom, a different sort of processor in many ways, for the second half of 2006, when it will displace the T1700 at the high end. The 65 nanometre Merom has a 667MHz bus and 4MB of L2 cache, but its clock speed isn't decided yet. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=26879
