 |  Intel snaps up Tower Semiconductor $5.4 billion Chipzilla has written a $5.4 billion cheque for Tower Semiconductor – a foundry for analogue semiconductor solutions. The move is part of Chipzilla’s cunning Intel’s IDM 2.0 plan which will see the company further expand its manufacturing capacity, global footprint and technology portfolio to address unprecedented industry demand.
