Intel D975XBX (Intel 975X)

Intel started the year 2006 vigorously, announced and sent into sales very good processors built on Presler and Cedar Mill cores manufactured following the 65-nm process technology. Therefore, a new-generation chipset for new-generation processors has been released - i975X for high-end systems, and in the near future the release of i965P for middle-end systems is expected. So, the spring of 2006 is expected to be rich in announcements of new motherboards to be produced by various manufacturers. But all the leading companies are not hasty at revealing their forthcoming novelties (they have put them aside until this spring's Cebit). That is why we start introduction to the i975X chipset with a review of the Intel D975XBX motherboard. But before we go on, a few words on the i975X chipset itself.
