| Intel Core i7-4930K (Ivy Bridge-E & 6 Cores) Intel's cutting edge enthusiast six core power house brings you four memory channels, official support for DDR3-1866 and HyperThreading. And the prices for the Core i7-4930K are starting below 500 Euros! Sounds great? Well, we've got a little problem with this CPU. The Core i7-4930K is based on the nearly two year old Ivy Bridge architecture and not on Haswell, which has been around since early summer 2013. And so the muscular power house has a deficit in the brain department - it lacks AVX 2.0 and TSX. Furthermore Haswell offers more compute power per MHz and faster cache access. To make things even worse the X79 chipset paired with this CPU is even older. The X79 is lacking USB 3.0 only two of its six SATA channels work at 6 Gbps. http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools |
