Default Intel 320 Series SSD Rumored for March 28th

With the next generation 510 series launch completed, Intel is looking to expand its mid-range SSD offerings with an X25-M replacement, the 320 Series.

Codenamed “Postville Refresh”, VR-Zone initially reported that Intel had slated the product for a mid-April launch, but has revised its prediction to an arrival by the end of the month, March 28th to be exact. The drive is reported to make use of Intel’s own controller and 25nm MLC NAND flash chips. It will initially be available in five capacities: 40GB, 80GB, 160GB, 300GB and 600GB. The drive may also include features such as 128-bit disk encryption and boasts a MTBF of 1.2 million hours.
