Is expected smartphone resurgence over?

There are signs that the shine is coming off a resurgence in smartphone sales as Huawei, Oppo and Vivo cut 10 per cent of smartphone shipments than their original orders from the supply chain makers for the fourth quarter of 2017.

DigiTimes claims that the reduction came as worldwide smartphone demand has become weaker than expected recently, which has resulted in rising inventories at channels.
