| Google Pixel 5a is an updated Pixel 4a 5G Larger screen and larger battery for $449 Google has now finally unveiled the Pixel 5a, a slight update from the Pixel 4a 5G smartphone, with a slightly larger screen, IP67 rating, and a larger battery, all for $449. Based on a slightly updated metal unibody design measuring at 154.9x73.7x7.6mm (6.1x2.9x0.3-inch) and weighs 183g, which makes it slightly larger and heavier than its Pixel 4a counterpart, mostly due to a larger 6.34-inch FHD+ (2400x1080) OLED screen and hefty 4680mAh battery. The screen is still 60Hz, so a 90Hz screen remains Pixel 5's exclusive feature. The Pixel 5a also got IP67 water and dust resistance. Although the battery had a big boost to 4680mAh, up from 3885mAh on the Pixel 4a 5G, Google did not give the Pixel 5a wireless charging as well as included an 18W wired fast charger. The rest of the specifications are pretty much identical to the Pixel 4a 5G, as you still get the same Snapdragon 765G SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the same rear camera system with a 12.2-megapixel main sensor and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide, as well as the same front 8-megapixel one. Interestingly enough, Google compares it only with Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a smartphones, cleverly leaving out the Pixel 4a 5G smartphone out of the picture. As detailed by Google, the Pixel 5a is available for pre-order as of today in the U.S. and Japan, and will start shipping on August 26th. You only get one color choice, Mostly Black, and it is priced at $449. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/533...ed-pixel-4a-5g |
