| Geforce GTX 260 55nm Preview As expected, the power consumption of GTX260-55nm is a little lower than old version of GTX260 under standby mode. but when loaded, the power consumption of 55nm GTX260 is higher than that of GTX260-65nm. Power consumption of the whole card is up to 275W, which is 10W higher than old version. We can’t explain this for now. | most important factor for NVIDIA was cost most likely? getting more GPUs from the same wafer, reducing overall cost per GPU and thus with the same prices they get a higher profit margin

| ~675 overclock versus ~720 overclock, not really much difference. Good news for anyone not upgraded yet, but not worth it for original GTX 260 192 shader owners. |
