| Geforce 8800 GTX faster than Radeon HD 2900XTX The less than stellar performance benchmarks are no surprise to board partners and AMD insiders. Two independent ATI board builders told DailyTech that Radeon HD 2900 XTX will not be a part of their initial portfolios. Given the additional memory cost and bulky card footprint, it seems unlikely the XTX will ever see the light of day given its current performance. http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=7052

| So ATI has no answer to the Geforce 8800 GTX? Granted that the sample tested by DailyTech is running at 650Mhz core (up from 575Mhz standard) which is quite a boost; but just looking at the XT vs XTX numbers is not really encouraging; while the 2900XT does indeed beat the GTS, it stands no chance against the G80 GTX, the XTX on the other hand is only marginally faster than the XT, if at all.

| I really hope they are wrong. Considering what insane prices and speeds the CPU war is yielding, this would suck for the consumers. |

| I'm glad I have a laptop NOT good news for AMD, they loose more ground to Intel if this is true. |
