| GeForce 7800 GS prototype benchmarked AnandTech has a preview of an NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS engineering prototype that may eventually replace mid-range GeForce 6 offerings. The card hasn't been formally announced, and the prototype's specs may not be final, but it's a 16-pipe offering with six vertex shaders and a 256-bit memory interface. Core and memory clocks run at 375Mhz and 1GHz, respectively, although they're probably the most vulnerable to change. As one might expect, the 7800 GS's performance falls between that of the GeForce 6800 GS and 7800 GT. Let's hope the design makes it to market. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2616 src: http://www.techreport.com/redir_comments.x?id=9064
