| G-Sync HDR monitors to arrive in next few weeks Will probably cost an arm and a leg We have been hearing about HDR monitors with Nvidia G-Sync support for quite some time now and it appears that these will finally launch in the next few weeks, with Acer and Asus leading the charge. According to PCWorld's sneak peek at Acer's X27 Predator G-Sync HDR monitor, this one should offer impressive color reproduction, great brightness and deep blacks, all thanks to AU Optronic's Quantum Dot display with 4K/UHD resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support and 384-zone Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) backlight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTJhZ9ZJ18U Earlier official information from Acer also pointed out some other specifications including 1000 nits of maximum brightness, 4ms response time, 178-degree viewing angles, two DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI inputs and support for Tobii eye-tracking technology. According to the information provided by PCWorld, Acer's X27 Predator G-Sync HDR monitor could launch in the next two weeks. Asus should not be far behind either as the company's PG27UQ should launch as well, with similar specifications as the Acer's X27 Predator. Unfortunately, we expect these to cost a pretty penny as the same Asus PG27UQ was previously spotted listed with an insane €2556.50 price tag. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...next-few-weeks |
