| Exploring Japan's 'Electric Town' The Japanese are well known for loving technology and gadgets that are sometimes months ahead of the products that consumers can purchase in the United States. The city of Tokyo specifically, is regarded as one of the most tech friendly cities in the world. The San Francisco Chronicle recently published an article about a special section of Tokyo that is "a high-tech shopper's paradise." The neighborhood, Akihabara, or "Electric Town," has a wide variety of gadgets that would surely excite most computer enthusiasts. Computer hardware, cell phones, game console accessories and other assorted hardware can be found by wandering around the various shops.
