| Evolution of Nvidia GeForce Driver: GeForce GTX 260 (216SP) under Investigation I did not see the performance growth promised by Nvidia when transitioning to newer versions of the GeForce driver on my computer configuration, yet the frame rate did grow up in such games as World in Conflict, Devil May Cry 4, Crysis Warhead (a very small performance growth here), Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, Lost Planet: Colonies as well as in the benchmarks 3DMark Vantage and Unigine Tropics Demo. This is already a good reason for updating your graphics card driver regularly. Moreover, I didn’t test some older games mentioned in the release notes while some newer games just don’t offer accurate tools for measuring the frame rate. The performance benefits may vary on other configurations and under other operating systems. You should also keep it in mind that newer drivers not only improve performance but also correct some errors occurring with new games. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/vid...driver180.html
