Default Europe going on its own and will tax big tech

After US walked out on talks threatening sanctions against the rest of the world

France has said a US decision to quit global talks on how to tax big digital firms such as Google, Amazon and Facebook was a “provocation” and the European Union said it could impose taxes even if no deal was reached by year-end.

The US has withdrawn from negotiations with European countries over new international tax rules on digital firms, saying that the talks had made no progress becuase the rest of the world was insisting on making US companies pay tax in the same way as native companies.
