Default DirectX 10 for Vista - the juicy bits for the layman

Want to know a bit more about Direct3D 10, the upcoming graphics portion of DirectX 10 in Windows Vista? We have a developer-focussed piece that covers D3D10 talks at a recent developer day in Brighton, as part of the Develop Conference and Expo 2006, but which should still hold some juicy bits for the layman interested in what's coming.

Beyond3D made the trip down to Brighton seafront on a gloriously sunny day to take in the last day of Develop. What follows is a summary piece based on our notes from the D3D10 sessions, chats with various game devs, ATI devrel staff and Intel guys, who were all there to either learn or evangelise about D3D10, XBox 360 and multi-threaded game development.
