 |  Descent reboot hits Kickstarter, empties gerbil wallets en masse Yes, an honest-to-goodness effort to reboot the PC gaming classic Descent has just hit Kickstarter. Descent was one of the original "3D" games, and its six-degrees-of-freedom maneuverability was demanding but awesome back in the day. It even gave birth to new types of controllers, like the Space Orb, specifically designed for six-axis control.
