Default DDR2 great says Crucial: AMD disagrees

WE'VE HAD the diamond geezers from Crucial on the blower today, telling us that their new Tracer memory is now available in DDR2 667 and DDR1 500 speeds

We have taken a look at some interesting AMD Confidential slides this morning that really take a pop at DDR2. It compares "FUD with FACT", saying that there won't be price parity with DDR1 until 667MHz parts become mainstream, and that adopting DDR2 today will reduce system performance and add cost to the platform.
