CPU Roundup - 20 single and dual core offerings from AMD and Intel

With the arrival of Athlon 64 X2 and Pentium D "series 800", AMD and INTEL put a first term at the race in GHz. The priority passes now to the flexibility in use... But for much of users, this new technology remains obscure, more especially as according to applications', the profit goes from the absolute zero to almost 100%! Consequently, it is obvious that a processor Dual Core is of nothing the absolute weapon which will come most quickly to end from all the applications. However, comfort is quite real and goes well beyond the approval brought by HyperThreading of first Pentium 4 "C". The choices would be relatively simple if AMD and INTEL used comparable names to define their processors. But it of it is nothing. Worse, whereas INTEL exploits only the frequency, AMD defines its processors on the basis of of the frequency and the L2 mask...
