| Cooler Master Revises Hyper TX3 and Hyper 212 CPU Coolers Changes include redesigned CPU contact bases, and a more end-user friendly fan-retention mechanism. With CPU contact base on which copper heatpipes make direct contact with the CPU, the channels that hold thermal paste have been removed (small gaps created between the CPU and the heatpipes because the heatpipes are nested too deep into the rest of the base). This ensures that improperly applied thermal paste doesn't excessively accumulate there, insulating rather than conducting heat. http://www.techpowerup.com/108080/Co... Coolers.html
