 |  Cisco set to buy BroadSoft Will write $2 billion cheque Networking giant Cisco is close to a deal to buy telecommunications software firm BroadSoft for $2 billion. The agreement allows Cisco to diversify away from its stagnating switches and routers business by giving it a stronger foothold in selling unified communications software to big telecommunications firms.
