 |  Boffins produce super storage Music and porn collection will last longer than 13.8 billion years Researchers from the University of Southampton "have developed a fast and energy-efficient laser-writing method for producing high-density nanostructures in silica glass. The tiny structures can be used for long-term five-dimensional (5D) optical data storage that is more than 10,000 times denser than Blue-Ray optical disk storage technology. Apparently the data storage uses three layers of nanoscale dots in a glass disk.
