| ATI lets slip new 5.10 Catalyst FOLLOWING its usual driver update scheme, ATI released yet another Catalyst 5.10 driver, where 10 stands for October release of the driver. This time around, along with the usual fixes, ATI managed to make some significant performance increases. Our friends at Tweaktown managed to test this new WHQL driver and they noticed some interesting performance increase in the latest games. You will gain some extra speed in Far Cry, Half Life 2, some in Doom 3, and boost your FPS count when you turn FSAA and Anisotropic filtering. So, ATI has some performance to unleash with its new drivers after all. I can warmly recommend to get this one as it will bust your frame count, nothing bad in that right? Beware as this driver still doesn’t support any of the just announced Radeon X1000 generation of cards. µ http://theinquirer.net/?article=26912
