ASUSTOR announces the official release of ADM 2.2 for all of its NAS devices. In addition to the features released in the beta version, the official version will also include a beta version of the Mail Server App, the HiDrive cloud storage service App and support for external optical drives (CD, DVD, Blu-ray).

Taipei, Taiwan, July 1st, 2014 - ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced the official release of the ASUSTOR Data Master (ADM) 2.2 operating system for all ASUSTOR NAS devices. In addition to the features released in the ADM 2.2 beta version, this official release will also feature a beta version of the new Mail Server App and support for external optical drives. The Mail Server App is a must-have for enterprise users and features encrypted transfers and scheduled backups for email. External optical drive support allows users to connect an external optical drive (CD, DVD, Blu-ray) to their NAS via USB and then use File Explorer to directly access any files that they have backed up to optical media and even transfer files from optical media to the NAS via drag and drop.

"After considering to the feedback and input provided by our users and making the necessary revisions and optimizations, we are proud to launch the official version of ADM 2.2," said Steve Huang, Product Manager at ASUSTOR. "Now ASUSTOR users will be able to safely enjoy all the new functions."

ADM 2.2 is available for all ASUSTOR NAS models. After upgrading, users will be able to enjoy more comprehensive cloud functionality than ever before along with a host of new add-on Apps from App Central. ASUSTOR will also soon release the AiFoto mobile app that will allow users to sync, manage and browse photos on their NAS from the convenience of their mobile devices.

The new functions included in ADM 2.2 are as follows:

Hard disk hibernation indicators

Support for external optical drives (CD, DVD, Blu-ray)
