Default Asus ZenBooks have an impressive screen-to-body ratio

Hitting 95 percent on the 13.3-inch model

Asus brought plenty of new notebooks to the IFA 2018 show, but the new ZenBook 13, 14, and ZenBook 15 notebooks certainly got a lot of attention with an impressive screen-to-body ratio, as well as some decent hardware to go with the looks.

While most notebook makers are trying to reduce those screen bezels to a minimum, Asus is probably one that got pretty close to the max with an up to 95 percent screen-to-body ratio on the new ZenBook 13. The new ZenBook 14 and the ZenBook 15 are not far behind either as both come with a 92 percent ratio.

In addition to the new "four-sided frameless display", the entire Asus ZenBook lineup also has the new Whiskey Lake-U CPUs, optional Nvidia dedicated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

The star of the show is the 13.3-inch ZenBook 13 with a 1080p screen with a 72 percent color gamut and that 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. Despite these slim bezels, Asus still managed to squeeze in an HD and IR camera, and all three are pretty thin. Other features include 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, 50Whr battery, and a backlit keyboard.

Another cool feature is the touchpad, which can be turned into a numerical keypad, at least on the ZenBook 13 and the ZenBook 14 models, while the ZenBook 15 has enough room to include a proper numberpad.

Unfortunately, Asus only said that these should become available in October and start at $899, so hopefully, we will hear more about them soon.
