| Asus rolls out new PN50 mini-PC with Ryzen Mobile 4000 APUs Coming in September Asus has unveiled its latest PN50 Mini-PC series which will be equipped with AMD's Ryzen Mobile 4000 series Renoir APUs, offering impressive performance in a small form factor chassis. Since AMD released its Ryzen Mobile 4000 series APUs back in January, it was just a matter of time before we see one in a mini-PC format, as it offers impressive performance while not drawing a lot of power, making it ideal for such design. As far as the Asus PN50, we are looking at small 115x115x49mm box-like chassis that should be enough to keep both 15W APUs well cooled. The Asus PN50 will be available with Ryzen 7 4800U, Ryzen 4700U, Ryzen 5 4500U, and the Ryzen 5 4300U APU, which should be enough to cover everything from office PC to a decent HTPC. Bear in mind that the PN50 is a barebone system, so you still need to add RAM and storage. The entire line supports up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory in two SO-DIMM slots, and comes one M.2 2280 and one 2.5-inch slot with SATA 6Gbps port for storage. There is also integrated Intel AX2000 Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5, Gigabit Ethernet, a couple of USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C and USB 3.1 Type-A ports, HDMI output, audio jack, IR sensor, and dual microphones. You also get a card reader, an audio jack, and a VESA mount kit. The Ryzen 5 4300U and Ryzen 5 4500U SKUs come with a 65W power adapter, while the other two, with Ryzen 7 4700U and Ryzen 7 4800U will have a 90W one. The first two will be available as of September 7th, while the more powerful ones will be coming on September 21st, at least according to some retailers/e-tailers. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...bile-4000-apus |
