| ARM based PC use on the rise Ignoring the general downturn Beancounters at Counterpoint Research have noticed that while PC sales are dropping, those with ARM based chips appeared to be bucking the trend. Unit shipments of PCs decreased by around 15 per cent in 2022 compared to the prior year and are expected to drop further in 2023, but Counterpoint noted that sales of Arm-based notebooks increased last year and expects them to increase again this year. The Tame Apple Press spun Counterpoint's report claiming that it was all about Apple and its wonderful chips, but they have ignored the fact that Counterpoint suggested that it will be MediaTek and Qualcomm Arm-based system-on-chips for Windows PCs which will be moving to domination, Such processors will gain even more share and will be in 25% of notebooks by 2027, the report says. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...se-on-the-rise |
