| Apple will not have Universal Control until spring 2022 Something went wrong with its world domination plans Fruity cargo cult Apple will not be releasing its Universal Control until spring 2022. For those who failed to attend Apple's WWDC event earlier this year where the control was announced, or have a life and don’t care much, Universal Control was supposed to be out in autumn. It let users control multiple Macs and iPads with a single mouse and keyboard or trackpad. "A single keyboard and mouse or trackpad now work seamlessly between your Mac and iPad -- they'll even connect to more than one Mac or iPad. Move your cursor from your Mac to your iPad, type on your Mac and watch the words show up on your iPad, or even drag and drop content from one Mac to another." It appears that the launch date was “too ambitious” and it didn’t make the cut this year. The Tame Apple Press has not come up with a very good reason for the delay but is keen to make it clear that it is not vapourware even if it was the “best feature” to be released in iOS 15 and macOS Monterey. We guess it being software, which is not Apple’s strong suit, they could not get it to go. https://fudzilla.com/news/54041-appl...il-spring-2022 |
