Default Apple’s Safari falls further from grace

Even Edge is doing better

Despite all of its competitive advantages Apple’s Safari browser is failing to interest users who are spurning it like they would a rabid dog.

Data provided by web analytics service StatCounter shows that Google Chrome is still the king of the browsers with a huge 66 per cent market share with Microsoft and Apple slugging it out for second place.

However it seems that Apple fanboys are trusting Apple software less, presumably heading towards Chrome which has enabled Microsoft to gain market share. To be fair, Microsoft Edge is not a bad browser and its popularity has been increasing over recent months. Meanwhile Safari is… well… designed by the finest minds and software engineers Apple has available.

In January 2021, Safari held a 10.38 percent market share, indicating a gradual slippage in popularity over the last 14 months.
Firefox has leaked users since the beginning of the year, despite regular updates and improvements.

On mobile, Edge doesn't even make it into the top six browsers on mobile, but first-placed Chrome commands 62.87 of usage share, with Safari on iPhones and iPads taking a comfortable 25.35 per cent in second place, 20.65 per cent ahead of third-placed Samsung Internet, with 4.9 per cent."
