| Apple AirPort Express review: new generation As access point the Apple AirPort Express is a very good product. The device is easy to configure and has excellent wireless performance. We would not recommend using it as a router, because the hardware is a bit too limited for that with the small number of ports and the Fast Ethernet standard. The ports can't keep up with the wireless speeds that can be achieved. A gigabit switch partially gets around that problem, and while the Express might suffice as a router for many consumers, chances are you will run into its limitations. http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/3190...new-generation |
