| AMD updates Phenom II price list Sandy Bridge chipset snafu or not, AMD has quietly updated its price list for Phenom II processors. The new list includes a fair number of cuts as well as a handful of new chips, some of which we included in our Sandy Bridge review earlier this month. Now, these cuts and additions apply only to the Phenom II X4 and Phenom II X6 lines. Dual-core Phenom II X2s are still listed at the same prices as before, but if they could speak, they'd probably be huddled in a corner sobbing and questioning their purpose. Next to a 3.2GHz Phenom II X4 priced at $105, the 3.3GHz, $102 dual-core part looks awfully unappealing, even when you take its unlocked upper multiplier into account. http://techreport.com/discussions.x/20341
