AMD Turion ML-44 to arrive soon

ACCORDING TO A German site, it looks like we are about to see the launch of a Turion ML-44. The chips is a 35W 2.4GHz part with a 1MB cache, so no surprise there.

The odd part is that it will only be available to HP, and currently it looks like it is only in the v8000z notebooks. This means that quantities are limited, and rather than stockpiling or downbinning, AMD is selling them in a way that will ensure low demand and high margins. Not a bad plan. Either way, this means large scale availability is only weeks away for all of us
