 |  AMD Samples Athlon 64 4000+, FX-55 Chips, but on 130nm Pictures of the Ahlon 64 4000+ and the FX-55 has pop up at a Chinese website. Screen shots of CPU-Z reveal the 4000+ is running at 2.4Ghz with 1 MB of cache (939) and the FX-55 is running at 2.6GHz with 1MB cache. The odd thing is that these parts are still being FAB at .13 microns and not AMD newer .09 micron process. Now how much of this news is true will be revealed in time. Earlier this year some believed that the Athlon 64 processor model 4000+ would be manufactured using 90nm Silicon-on-Insulator process technology and will be based on the Winchester core that is also supposed to ship this quarter. The specs of the 4000+ were reported to be 2.60GHz core-clock, dual-channel integrated memory controller and 512KB of L2 cache.
