Default AMD's CEO Dr. Lisa Su to host Computex 2019 keynote

All about Navi, Zen 2 and EPYC

TAITRA, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, has announced that AMD's President and CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, will be holding a keynote at the Computex 2019 with a topic of "The Next Generation of High-Performance Computing", hinting that it will be all about 3rd generation Ryzen, Navi GPU architecture, and upcoming 7nm EPYC datacenter processors.

While we are not sure if we will see a hard-launch of any of these products, it is a big thing for AMD to have Dr. Lisa Su hold a Computex 2019 keynote, same as the CES 2019 keynote held earlier this year.

The keynote will be held in Room 201 of the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) on May 27th at 10 AM local time, and, according to a brief press release from TAITRA, it will be all about the upcoming 7nm EPYC processors, AMD's 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs, and next-generation Navi graphics architecture.

Back at the CES 2019 keynote, AMD already confirmed that its 2nd generation EPYC CPUs are on track and should be shipping in the middle of 2019, and it already previewed the 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs based on 7nm Zen 2 architecture, so the company has to show a lot more at the Computex 2019 event.

The big part of the keynote will be reserved for Navi GPU, as AMD already hinted during its earnings call that Navi GPU will launch this year, with a possible launch at the Computex 2019 show. Of course, we are probably looking at a mid-range GPU that will be a successor of the Polaris GPU, while high-end will still be reserved for Radeon VII, with a Navi-based successor most likely coming next year.

AMD will have a lot to show at the Computex 2019 event and hopefully, it will continue to deliver on its promises and keep up with its rather aggressive roadmap.
