Default AMD releases Pacifica virtualisation spec

CHIP FIRM AMD has been talking about its virtualisation technology codenamed Pacifica for some months now.
But today it has finally announced the general availability of the spec. The virtualisation tech won’t be available for client and server processors until the first half of 2006. AMD said it will also add improvements for future single and dual core AMD64 chips in the future.

The tech will be available for notebooks, desktops, workstations and servers, and AMD said there’s more details at here, in PDF format.
