| AMD Phenom II X4 805 L3 Cache Increased from 4Mb to 6Mb through BIOS? As we probably know the AM3 processor X4 805 and 810 are quad core processors with 4MBytes of L3 cache. The interesting story begins when you turn on ACC in the BIOS. With ACC turned on in BIOS, it doesn't convert your 805 or 810 processor into a tri core. Instead, it remains as a quad core with a bonus. The bonus is an additional of 2MB for your L3 Cache. With an additional 2MB L3, it will speed up applications that requires datasets kept in the L3 than acquiring the commonly used from the on board memory. Such applications would include databases gets a boost with a bigger L3. So far, not all models of the Phenom II X4 805 or Phenom II X4 810 can be unlocked. So it really depends on your luck. http://my.ocworkbench.com/2009/amd/A...rom-X3-810.htm
