| AMD looking to quad-core CPUs for 2007? Dual-Core is just so, so passé Goldman Sachs report says that AMD may have quad-core CPU fabrication capabilities by 2007. Now that dual-core CPUs constitute a "trend," the investment firm believes that AMD is poised to make significant gains in the market with its 90nm Athlon 64 (which is now shipping) and forthcoming dual-core parts, all of which could feed into quad-core parts fabbed on a 65nm process in only three years. http://arstechnica.com/news/posts/20040813-4099.html
