Default AMD to have 45nm chipset in 2008

AMD showed its latest roadmap at an event in Japan and according to it, the RD8xx series of performance chipsets will be transitioned to 45nm next year. The RD790 is a 65nm and so is the upcoming RS780M which will be the base for AMD's mobile platform next year, before Fusion takes over in 2009 at 45nm. AMD is also listing Octal Core with DDR3 and socket AM3 for 2009, although with very little support for quad core, who's going to need eight cores?
