Based on Zen+ architecture
In addition to revealing a bit more plans about its GPU side of things, AMD has announced its 2nd generation Ryzen CPUs which should launch in April this year.
Based on the 12nm manufacturing process, Ryzen+ will bring some improvements in terms of higher frequency as well as the new Precision Boost technology. While it is not clear if the 2nd generation of Ryzen CPUs will cover the entire lineup, AMD did note that we will see it on Ryzen desktop CPUs, Ryzen Pro CPUs as well as the 2nd generation Threadripper CPUs, which should be coming in the second half of the year.
