Bad case of headwind

Amazon is shuttering its health-focused Halo division killing off all three products and firing a chunk of the staff.

Like most of the firings big tech have been doing lately, the reason is being put down to "significant headwinds" which seems to suggest that either a low carb diet is not agreeing with many on the West Coast, or PR firms are just photocopying cliches and distributing them to other companies.

Amazon's VP of smart home and health Melissa Cha told staff: "More recently, Halo has faced significant headwinds, including an increasingly crowded segment and an uncertain economic environment. Although our customers love many aspects of Halo, we must prioritise resources and maximise benefits to customers and the long-term health of the business."
