| All items Hard Drive Prices Soar 28 Percent After Thai Floods The analyst's predictions for a shortfall of hard drives have come to pass and are now beginning to wane. Prices increased 28%, peaking around the middle of the fourth quarter and are now beginning to stabilize as the HDD manufacturers' production slowly comes back online in flood ravaged Thailand.
