| Alienware is readying Radeon HD 6970/6870 notebook DELL'S UPCOMING ALIENWARE M17x R3 has leaked and with it that AMD is getting ready to launch the first of its new 6000-series of mobile GPU's. Not much is known about the new Mobility Radeon 6000-series, but the first two models are rumoured to be the Mobility Radeon HD 6870 and 6970. The leak comes courtesy of Notebook Italia and it isn't exactly what you'd call detailed. Apart from the new AMD GPU's it also mentions that the M17x R3 will be available with an optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M with up to 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory, but it mentions no additional details with regards to the AMD graphics options. There's no mention of CPU options, but we'd presume that Dell has stuck with Intel's Core i models and supporting chipsets. http://www.semiaccurate.com/2010/11/...6870-notebook/
