Default woot woot for reinstall, got any tweaks?

several game got me down on using XP now and I wonder if you have any tweaks

I did so far:

disabled prefetch
disabled system restore
set temp folder and swap file to other partitions to reduce C: fragmentation
disabled display selection of OS and debug informations
emptied update informations and prefetch information
defragmented the drive
latest drivers, proper install order
classic view for start menu and control panel

Killing the welcome screen would be nice too and I can't set my USB polling rate with the common program, it says the file has changed.

for welcome screen, do you mean auto logon or classic W2K screen? you can find both options under control panel -> users (fast userswitch / auto logon)

I mean that screen it loads where it says welcome and the light blue screen before with orange loading bar. I already killed the splash screen with the green loading bar.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on and off -> disable "welcome screen" and "fast user switching"

well, then I have to log in which takes longer

Windows understands as welcome screen the screen where you select the user (which I already killed, it doesn't require any logging in now). But I am talking about those two totally unneeded screens.

google search also only yielded results for your solution

you can set auto logon without the use of the welcome screen.
