| What videocard to buy?? Howdy, What's the best card at this moment? Let's say the x800xt and the 6800 ultra are too expensive, so I have to choose between the x800pro and the 6800 GT. However, these cards seem to be equally good if you look at the benchmarks? So, what to buy? Thanks Corax |

| 6800 gt should be a bit more powerful in doom3 and opengl based games... however, ati could bring out enhancing new drivers that would equal it. I think they're both pretty great cards...

| both are great, although I tend to lean towards the 6800GT which offers more future proof features

| yes the 6800 has shader model 3.0 but again ati released shader model 2.0b think the difference is between the games where they are optimize for.

| Same here, both are great, but I'd slightly prefer the 6800GT. Way better OpenGL / Linux drivers, a bit more futureproof and dual DVI for l33t dual TFT owners. Downside is it draws an huge amount of power, but luckely only while under load.

| Buy an X800PRO ViVo and flash it to X800XT PE (success rate = 90-95%). |

| that card seems to offer quite a bit of value if we can believe the press releases. Better wait for some hands-on experiences though before drawing a final conclusion. ATI is working on a mid-end card also, so this ain't over
