Default ROFL, vista activation is already cracked

My friend runs a pirated copy now but it hogged so many resources and drivers are so bad that he returned to his activation free XP copy.

solid proof: activation only harrasses legit users

Well, still pretty sad if they are bad enough to make someone return to XP.

but main point stands: copy protection is useless once again

not really; any enthusiast going from Win 2000 -> XP in XP first 6-9 months returned also
copy protection is not as useless as you think, the bar is set higher to be able to jump over it; those who were able to make that jump on XP, might not all clear Vista's raised bar
Vista
XP
2000
Windows 95/98/ME
Win 3.11
DOS

the point is, I BELIEVED the M$ copy protection being better but as a matter of fact, it is cracked (seen it LIVE)

and with the Internet, once it's cracked it is over

Wat about Oblivion? No protection, a SP game and still massive sales.

How many game sales have been lost to starforce?

I think Oblivion has a copy protection => cd must be in the drive to play the game.

But you are right I didn't buy some games because they were protected by star force. What is also a disgrace is the way some music cd's are protected. To play them on your pc some sort of program is installed. I am curious if hose cd's will be playable on future mediacenters.
Who still buys a simple cd-player?
Normally I Dont buy those cd's, but when ordered online you can't see if they are copy protected.

Only the last bypass is what I am talking about, the other two aren't perfect.
