| new record Yesterday went reinstalling windowsxp (did a full format). After being on the internet for about 5-10 minutes (downloading AV personal, Ad-aware and SP S&D), there were 11 viri (wich kept comming) and 9 adware stuff, some kind of page that kept comming (can't remember wich one) and sex010.exe in the personal folder. Damn, this sucks bigtime :grum: . Why the hell do people write viri, it sucks. |

| The average time for an unprotected, unpatched Windows XP PC to get infected through the internet is currently 20 minutes. Sad but true. I had some hard times downloading patches and a virscan on 2 new computers back in june, because they where infected before all the patches where downloaded.

| never have this problem. I think it's really starting to get interesting to use hardware based firewall/routers. Using one and I never have any problems with viri and spy/ad/mal-ware |
