| New laptop, student edition Hey Fellow Shrimps! I'm looking for a new laptop... But, it should be as cheap as possible... This is my first concern, because i simply do not have a lot of money to spend. I would like it to have wlan, but graphic accelerators and other fancy stuff is not needed. I'm planning to use it for webdesign / graphic work (think photoshop / dreamweaver / office suite, the "basics") Other pro's would be: black / small (no big screen needed, i don't like widescreen / long battery life). I know that some of these request don't go well together, but it's allways nice to know your imput... Greets, Jim (now student at c-md in genk, multimediadesign olé) |

| search for a Pentium M (not P4-M mind you), anything with >=1ghz will be blistering fast for office/general usage; Long battery life. WIFI can be had by adding a PCMCIA expansion card, so getting a notebook with WIFI integrated is "nice" but not essential for the deal to work if you want CHEAP -> Acer if you want less CHEAP, better Quality -> Dell if you want excellent quality -> IBM
