| Need cheap Socket A Motherboard The motherboard I used in my HTPC just died (was one that I already salvaged from a lightning strike). I need a replacement for it, that is not too expensive (not more then 50€). I don't need fancy stuff, I just need one that does it job and nothing more, -> no OC'ing or other stuff. Anything you can recommend me? |

| Asrock K7VT4A+ (Sempron ready) 32 euro at forcom Many are DOA, don't buy it at a shop far, far away. However, i'd recommend to spend a 20 extra and get a decent, high end (socket a) motherboard: ASUS A7V880, 56 euro @ tones It's a great brand, got gigabit lan, sata, good sound, dual channel ram, ...

| I got an A7N8X(-E) Deluxe , works flawlessly, not a mighty overclocker (at all!) but feature rich and stable. think it's a wee bit more expensive then the A7V but you do get Soundstorm onboard, which makes up for the price a bit

| It about 40€ more expensive, unless I consider the A7N8X-x which is only 15€ more expensive. I'll stay with the A7V8X-X which is fine for the things I want to do with it (play music and movies on my tv). |
