| laptop-mod question helluw, I'm thinking of making a mod in wich I need to have a laptop screen modded in a kind of suitcase (koffermod) .. now I've heared someone say I need a controller or something ... but the only thing I can say to that is: uh ? can anyone tell me anything about how to do it or what the controller does ... thx in advance |

| If you're planning on putting an entire laptop into a suitcase: no prob. But if you want to use a laptoplcd on a regular vidcard, how are you going to connect it? That's why you'll need a controller. I think it's nearly an impssible job to do if you don't know your way around electronics. A far easier mod would be modding a regular 15" TFT into a suitcase.

| hmz ... well the problem is money (uvcurz) I can easily get my hands on busted laptops ... but not on 15" tft's so do you know how I can build them ? (I do know a bit about electronics ... - I'm a ICT student - but not a whole lot (yet)) but isn't the controller already available on the screen ? or do you have to build it ... is it just some kind of convertor that changes the voltages of the transmitted signals ? (sorry for the brainstorm :s) |
